The Mahomet-Seymour School District is proud to announce that Mr. Matt Hensley, Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at Mahomet-Seymour High School, was recognized as the Division 5 Class 3A and 4A Athletic Director of the Year by the Illinois Athletic Directors Association. He accepted this award at the awards banquet at the annual conference of the Illinois Athletic Directors Association earlier in May.
Mr. Hensley has served in this capacity at M-S HS for 13 years. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, a position to which he was elected two years ago, and represents Division 5 on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Athletic Directors Association.
“We are proud of Matt’s involvement and leadership at both the national and state level of these professional organizations,” said Board of Education President Max McComb. “It is wonderful that his time and efforts are being recognized.”

Mahomet Seymour Schools will be dismissing per our regular procedures at the regular time this afternoon. Based upon information gathered this afternoon, we believe this to be the best course of action. Kids Club and BLAST are in session. There will be increased police presence at LT and the JH.
