Jeramie Truax is starting her 18th year teaching art in the Mahomet-Seymour School District.
She has three children that attend school in Mahomet. Her daughter, Chloe, will be a senior at Mahomet Seymour High School, and she plays softball. Her daughter, Phoebe, will be a freshman in high school and will play tennis, run track, and ride horses. Her son, Niko, is starting 6th grade and plays baseball, will run cross country, and plays soccer.
When Mrs. Truax is not on the sidelines at sporting events, she enjoys being outside and enjoying the Sangamon River with her husband, Brad, and her dog, Yadi.
