We are very excited to welcome Stacy Uebelhoer to the kindergarten team at MPE.
Stacy Uebelhoer has been teaching children from ages infant-5 years old for 23 years. She received her Bachelor’s in Early Childhood from the UIUC in 1998. Stacy worked at the UIUC Child Development Lab for 11 years. During that time she earned her SpEd endorsement and her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Early Childhood Special Education.
Most recently, she taught Pre-K in Urbana for 4 years before joining the amazing MPE Pre-k team for the past 3 years. Although she will miss the Pre-k team dearly, Stacy will start her new adventure as a Kindergarten Teacher at MPE this fall! She is so excited to start the school year in her new classroom with Kindergarteners!
Stacy lives in Mahomet with her husband, Brian. They met in 1992 and have been married for almost 22 years! They have a 19-year old son, Colson, who is a Music Major at Parkland College and is excited to be a saxophonist in the Marching Illini this year! They also have a 16-year old son, Owen, who will be a Junior at MSHS and is also a saxophonist in the MSHS Marching Band, Wind Symphony, and Jazz Band. Finally, they have a 2.5 year old Aussiedoodle named Belmo. He’s really smart, but he is not a saxophonist like his brothers!
Stacy had a fun, busy summer with her family. She enjoys reading, walking Belmo, bowling, and spending time with her friends and family. Stacy is looking forward to seeing everyone back in school this year! She cannot wait to meet her new students and see her former students in the hallway as well!
