Mrs. Diskin is a kindergarten teacher at MPE. This is her 11th year teaching, and her fourth year teaching kindergarten. Before teaching kindergarten, she taught pre-k for 5 years at Middletown and taught in Danville for 2 years prior to coming to Mahomet. Her husband Mr. Diskin is the Dean of Students and Athletic Director at Fisher Junior/Senior High School. They both have a passion for working with kids! Mrs. Diskin and her husband have been married for 9 years and are blessed with three kids of their own; Camden, Chason, and Jayden. Camden just turned 7 this summer and will be in 1st grade. He loves riding his scooter and bike and having nerf battles. Chason turned 5 in May and will be in Kindergarten. He is so excited to finally be in school like his big brother. He loves sports and dancing to music! Jayde turned 1 in March. She has always been a happy, go with the flow girl who likes her sleep! Her big brothers love her so much! They also have a spoiled dog named Brody who is 13 years old.
Mrs. Diskin grew up on a farm in Gridley, Illinois and went to school in Lexington. She has lived in Mahomet for the past 10 years. Mrs. Diskin graduated from Illinois State University earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a Special Education Endorsement and in 2015 earned her Master’s Degree in Reading.
Outside of school Mrs. Diskin enjoys running every morning, decorating her house, shopping online, and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Diskin is excited to meet and get to know her new students and see former students in the hall! She has always felt blessed to work at MPE.
