Our spotlight today shines on one of the teaching assistants at LT, Kimberly Clark. Hi! My name is Kimberly Clark. I am very excited about the upcoming school year in Mahomet! I have my Masters Degree in Education and my educators license with stipulations while I am finishing up classes in special education. I taught for 5 years at Parkland college and loved it but decided to pursue my love for working with children that need that extra help to succeed! So I starting working in special education at Champaign and Mahomet Schools and did that for 3 years. I then started working at Lincoln Trail full-time, in special education, for the past year. Mahomet schools are amazing and this is the place for me! I have 4 boys that go to school in Mahomet, which is the same school district I grew up in. I usually spend my free time at all of my busy boys sport events! I have a love for music, junk food and going to the trampoline park with my boys. I have lived here in Mahomet my whole life and I can’t think of a better place to be!

New to 3rd grade grade but not new to LT, introducing Kara Allison! This will be my nineteenth year teaching at Lincoln Trail. I have been teaching 4th grade for the last 18 years and am very excited to be moving to 3rd grade in the fall. I have been a Bulldog for many years! My family moved to Mahomet when I was in 7th grade and I graduated from Mahomet-Seymour High School in 1996. I got my bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Illinois University in 2000 and I received my masters degree in Special Education from the University of Illinois. I live here in Mahomet with my husband and three daughters. My husband, Brady, works for Farm Credit. We will have 2 daughter in high school, Kaylee will be a sophomore and Brynlee will be a freshman. Our youngest, Bree, will be in 5th grade here at Lincoln Trail. I enjoy spending time with my family and taking my dog on walks. I also enjoy running and coaching Girls on the Run. I have enjoyed teaching 4th grade and all of the wonderful classes that I have had. I am looking forward to teaching 3rd grade this year and making many new memories.

Also featuring this week, Mrs. Jill Lager! I grew up an Aviston Eagle, just about 45 minutes across the River from St Louis ( Go Cardinals)! My favorite teacher’s name was also Mrs. Lager...and she taught 4th Grade! After living in Aviston for 18 years, I moved with my parents to Germany for 4 years! When I moved back to the US, I moved to East Lansing to finish my teaching degree and got married! We moved to Mahomet to be closer to our families. We have been here ever since! I live with my husband (Justin), son (Jaedon),daughter (Jolee)and our fur daughter(Juliet). Apart from being a Cardinal fan, I love watching my son play baseball and my daughter dance ballet! In my free time, especially on school breaks, you can find me crafting, searching Teachers Pay Teaches and Pinterest for fun classroom projects, traveling, baking, shopping, spending time with my family, practicing yoga and making Starbucks runs for my favorite drink!
